Citation style
At initial submission, references can be in any style, as long as every reference is complete and includes its title.
Reference list
Article titles must be included in every reference, and journal abbreviations should follow the Chemical Abstracts Service Source Index (CASSI).
Manuscript structure
- Title and author list
- Abstract and keywords
- Introduction, Experimental, Results and Discussion/Conclusion
- Acknowledgment, Supporting Information statement and references
Length and page limits
- Communications: the abstract, main text and graphical elements together must not exceed 2,200 words. The title, author list, affiliations and everything after the main text, including references, are not counted.
- Perspectives: no more than 9,000 words, including the abstract, main text and figure captions.
- Articles: the guide sets no word limit.
- The abstract should not exceed about 250 words.
