Folio Reviewer

A review panel that reads your draft before Reviewer 2 does.

Three reviewers with different jobs — one interrogates your methods, one your clarity, one plays the skeptic — read your work and return a structured report you can act on, provenance-stamped so it’s no black box.

Reviewer Report3 reviewers

Methods reviewer

Sample size is under-powered for the claimed effect — report a power analysis.

Clarity reviewer

The contribution is strong but buried; lead §1 with it.

Skeptic reviewer

Correlation ≠ causation in §4 — soften or add a control.

Provenance-stamped · publicly verifiable

The Methods reviewer

Interrogates design, sampling, analysis and threats to validity — the questions a rigorous referee asks first, surfaced while you can still fix them.

The Clarity reviewer

Reads for the argument: is the contribution clear and up front, does the structure carry it, where does a reader get lost? The revisions that get a paper accepted.

The Skeptic

Pushes back the way a hostile reviewer would — overclaims, causal leaps, unaddressed alternatives — so nothing weak reaches submission unnoticed.

A verifiable Reviewer Report

The panel produces a provenance-stamped report at a public link — a record that the review happened and what it said, not an anonymous black-box score.

How it works

01

Bring your draft

Point Reviewer at a document in Folio. It reads the whole thing in context — your argument, your sources, your claims.

02

Convene the panel

The Methods, Clarity and Skeptic reviewers each read with their own remit and write structured, specific feedback — not a vague overall grade.

03

Act, then prove it

Work through the report, then share the provenance-stamped Reviewer Report — a verifiable record that the work was reviewed and revised.

What you get

Structured, specific critique — not a single score
Reads your full draft in context
Catches overclaims and causal leaps
Provenance-stamped Reviewer Report

Runs before submission, as often as you like
Built on the same integrity spine as the rest of Folio

Questions, answered

Is this a replacement for peer review?

No — it’s the pass before peer review. It catches the methods gaps, unclear arguments and overclaims a referee would flag, so your submission is stronger when a human reviewer sees it.

Why three reviewers instead of one?

Because “give me feedback” produces mush. Splitting the job — methods, clarity, skepticism — gives each reviewer a clear remit, so the critique is specific and actionable instead of generic.

What is the Reviewer Report?

A structured, provenance-stamped record of the review at a public link — so the review is transparent and verifiable, not an anonymous black-box judgment.
