The idea

A full-screen focus mode that hides all panels, the sidebar, and the toolbar. Minimal UI — just your document, a word count, and an exit button. Optionally, dim everything outside the current paragraph to keep your attention on the sentence you're writing.

Why it matters

The AI panels and source library are powerful, but sometimes you just need to write. When you're in the zone and words are flowing, every visible button is a potential distraction. Focus mode gets everything out of the way and lets you concentrate on the writing itself. It's particularly valuable during first drafts, when the goal is output, not polish.

Where we are

On our roadmap. Focus mode and reading mode share some design overlap, so they'll likely ship together or in close sequence.
